Woman in Flowers

Sale price$2,800.00

44 x 54 cm

At first glance The Woman in Flowers feels joyful.
Crowned with flowers, alive with color, her gaze holds a softness that draws you in before you have time to question it.

But the longer you stay, the more complex her presence becomes. This is not joy as decoration, nor beauty as distraction. There is awareness here. Memory. A quiet knowing that life and fragility coexist - not as opposites, but as companions.

The Woman in Flowers is a piece about presence. About what it means to be fully alive, not despite what we’ve witnessed, but because of it.

Artwork Essence

THE PRESENCE
The Woman in Flowers is not about decoration; it is about awareness. It captures the moment when freedom stops being an abstract idea and becomes something physical - a quiet knowing that life and fragility coexist.

THE MATERIALS
As a Tier 4 Masterpiece, this work demanded 80 hours of precision. More than 32,000 square resin facets, drawn from a palette of 35 colors, were placed by hand. The complexity lies in the layering - creating a dense, vibrant garden that surrounds the figure without overwhelming the story beneath.

THE TEXTURE
The surface carries a quiet density, shaped by repetition, attention, and restraint. Each return to the surface refined the transitions between light and shadow, allowing the image to surface through patience rather than force.

THE FINISH
Framed in natural wood, double-sealed with non-toxic adhesive, and protected by anti-reflective glass, the piece is built for longevity. What emerges is not ornament, but depth - a stillness that holds color.

From the Journal

She looks joyful. That is what most people see first. Flowers, color, warmth - a face that feels open, almost celebratory.

But while working on her, something else began to surface. Beneath the brightness lived a memory tied not to beauty, but to awareness. To the moment when freedom stops being an idea and becomes something physical - something you feel in your body, in your breath, in your ability to choose.

This piece formed around that contrast. Between celebration and gravity. Between what appears light and what is deeply earned. Each facet placed carried the weight of a realization: that freedom is not abstract, and gratitude often arrives only after witnessing its absence.

What The Woman in Flowers holds is not an answer, but a question that stays with you. About life, about presence, and about how differently we move through the world once we understand what it truly means to be free.

HOW THIS ARTWORK CAME TO LIFE

Handmade

Created entirely by human hands, without automation or shortcuts. Each decision emerged in response to the image as it evolved, guided by presence rather than precision.

UNINTERRUPTED TIME

Days and weeks of focused, solitary work shaped this piece. Time was allowed to unfold naturally, letting the artwork find its own rhythm without the pressure of a deadline.

Facet by Facet

Thousands of resin facets were placed individually, one by one. A complex spectrum of colors interacts to create depth and movement, forming the image through slow accumulation.

Undoing & Rebuilding

The composition was adjusted and reordered throughout the process to ensure alignment. Not to achieve machine-like perfection, but to restore balance and coherence to the canvas.

Human Traces

Subtle irregularities and small gaps remain visible. They are marks of presence - quiet evidence that this artwork was made, not produced.

Materials & Finish

Double-sealed with a non-toxic protective layer, framed in wood, and finished with anti-reflective glass. Prepared for long-term interior display while preserving texture, depth, and character.

MADE BY HUMAN HANDS & SOUL

This artwork was created slowly, by human hands - without automation, shortcuts, or mechanical repetition. Every facet was placed in time, through focus, patience, and presence.

Throughout the process, pauses mattered as much as movement. Moments of hesitation, adjustment, and return became part of the work itself. Subtle irregularities, softened edges, and barely visible gaps are not imperfections to be corrected, but traces of a human journey.

What is made by human hands inevitably carries something deeply personal - the tension between intention and surrender, the discipline to continue, and the humility to let go. This is where Lunarti’s spirit aligns with the philosophy of wabi-sabi: a way of seeing beauty not in flawlessness, but in authenticity, incompleteness, and presence.

The artwork holds more than resin and structure. It holds hours of stillness, strain in the eyes, patience in the body, and the emotional weight of releasing control. Each irregularity becomes a record of presence, a reminder that what is made by human hands will always reflect the person behind it.

Just as we are shaped by what we endure, this piece is shaped by its making. It stands in its authenticity - honoring the idea that we do not need to be perfect to be whole.
