Artwork Essence

THE PROCESS
The sense of openness that Freedom in Colors brings into a room grew from a process guided less by control and more by trust. The work did not demand rigid precision, but rather a fluid rhythm, allowing the colors to interact and build energy naturally on the canvas.

THE MATERIALS
This Tier 1 crystal micro-mosaic was shaped through the placement of over 28,000 square resin facets, selected from a vibrant palette of 32 colors. The image unfolded over 60 hours, moving away from muted tones into unapologetic brightness.

THE TEXTURE
What gives the surface its movement is tension. Up close, the facets catch light gently, creating a living texture that feels vibrant but calm. The work carries the confidence of something that was allowed to emerge, rather than forced into form.

THE FINISH
Framed in natural wood, protected by anti-reflective glass, and double-sealed with non-toxic adhesive, the piece holds the quiet assurance of color that knows where it belongs.

From the Journal

There are periods in life when everything continues to function, yet something essential feels muted. Responsibilities remain, routines persist, and conversations move forward - but internally, the world feels quieter, flatter, almost grey. Not broken, not dramatic. Just distant.

Freedom in Colors began during one of those moments. She did not arrive as an answer or a solution, but as a presence. Color appeared slowly, without urgency, without the need to justify itself. At first, this softness felt unfamiliar - even unsettling - as if brightness without purpose was something to distrust.

As the work unfolded, it became clear that this piece was not about intensity or spectacle. It was about allowing feeling to return without being forced. About staying with uncertainty long enough for something honest to surface. Each facet placed felt less like a decision and more like a small act of permission.

What emerged was not chaos, but clarity. A contrast between who I had learned to be and who I was quietly becoming. Freedom in Colors did not demand change - she allowed it.

Even now, standing before her, the meaning continues to unfold slowly, in layers, the way freedom often does.

HOW THIS ARTWORK CAME TO LIFE

Handmade

Created entirely by human hands, without automation or shortcuts. Each decision emerged in response to the image as it evolved, guided by presence rather than precision.

UNINTERRUPTED TIME

Days and weeks of focused, solitary work shaped this piece. Time was allowed to unfold naturally, letting the artwork find its own rhythm without the pressure of a deadline.

Facet by Facet

Thousands of resin facets were placed individually, one by one. A complex spectrum of colors interacts to create depth and movement, forming the image through slow accumulation.

Undoing & Rebuilding

The composition was adjusted and reordered throughout the process to ensure alignment. Not to achieve machine-like perfection, but to restore balance and coherence to the canvas.

Human Traces

Subtle irregularities and small gaps remain visible. They are marks of presence - quiet evidence that this artwork was made, not produced.

Materials & Finish

Double-sealed with a non-toxic protective layer, framed in wood, and finished with anti-reflective glass. Prepared for long-term interior display while preserving texture, depth, and character.

MADE BY HUMAN HANDS & SOUL

This artwork was created slowly, by human hands - without automation, shortcuts, or mechanical repetition. Every facet was placed in time, through focus, patience, and presence.

Throughout the process, pauses mattered as much as movement. Moments of hesitation, adjustment, and return became part of the work itself. Subtle irregularities, softened edges, and barely visible gaps are not imperfections to be corrected, but traces of a human journey.

What is made by human hands inevitably carries something deeply personal - the tension between intention and surrender, the discipline to continue, and the humility to let go. This is where Lunarti’s spirit aligns with the philosophy of wabi-sabi: a way of seeing beauty not in flawlessness, but in authenticity, incompleteness, and presence.

The artwork holds more than resin and structure. It holds hours of stillness, strain in the eyes, patience in the body, and the emotional weight of releasing control. Each irregularity becomes a record of presence, a reminder that what is made by human hands will always reflect the person behind it.

Just as we are shaped by what we endure, this piece is shaped by its making. It stands in its authenticity - honoring the idea that we do not need to be perfect to be whole.
