Black Swan

Sale price$2,500.00

44 x 54 cm

The Black Swan does not announce herself loudly.
She appears quietly - calm on the surface, layered beneath.

This piece carries a sense of inward focus rather than display. Her gaze feels turned slightly away from the world, as if listening to something internal, something unresolved. Color surrounds her not as decoration, but as atmosphere - rich, emotional, and intentional.

Placed in a space, The Black Swan does not seek attention. She holds it.
Not through drama, but through presence - inviting reflection, honesty, and a deeper kind of stillness.

This is a work for those who understand that beauty is not always soft, and strength is not always visible.

Artwork Essence

THE PROCESS
The Black Swan was brought to life through a slow, deliberate process that allowed emotion to surface rather than be controlled. Each section was revisited and adjusted, building depth not through contrast alone, but through accumulation and restraint.

THE MATERIALS
More than 32,000 square resin facets, drawn from a palette of 39 colors, were placed entirely by hand over 75 hours. The complexity emerged steadily, allowing the deep magenta and onyx tones to settle into their own rhythm.

THE PRESENCE
This is a work for those who understand that beauty is not always soft. It reflects the quiet moment when avoidance stops and clarity begins to form - slowly, unevenly, without certainty, but with presence.

THE FINISH
Finished with a wooden frame, protected by anti-reflective glass, and double-sealed with non-toxic adhesive, the artwork is built for longevity. What remains is a presence that feels composed, layered, and quietly uncompromising.

From the Journal

Some transformations arrive without warning. Not as events, but as realizations - moments when something long contained begins to surface, whether invited or not.

The Black Swan emerged during a period of confrontation with parts of myself I believed I had already understood. Experiences that had been categorized, rationalized, and stored away began to press forward again - not loudly, but persistently. Old doubts. Unfinished emotions. The weight of stories that were never fully processed, only postponed.

As the work unfolded, the rhythm of repetition created space for reflection. It became clear that some of what I was carrying did not belong to the present moment at all. Some scars were shaped by experience, others inherited, absorbed, mistaken for my own. The piece did not ask for resolution - only for honesty.

What The Black Swan reflects is not collapse, and not victory. It reflects the quiet moment when avoidance no longer works, and clarity begins to form - slowly, unevenly, without certainty of where it leads.

For those who have lived through moments that reshaped them in ways they still struggle to name, the story does not end here.

HOW THIS ARTWORK CAME TO LIFE

Handmade

Created entirely by human hands, without automation or shortcuts. Each decision emerged in response to the image as it evolved, guided by presence rather than precision.

UNINTERRUPTED TIME

Days and weeks of focused, solitary work shaped this piece. Time was allowed to unfold naturally, letting the artwork find its own rhythm without the pressure of a deadline.

Facet by Facet

Thousands of resin facets were placed individually, one by one. A complex spectrum of colors interacts to create depth and movement, forming the image through slow accumulation.

Undoing & Rebuilding

The composition was adjusted and reordered throughout the process to ensure alignment. Not to achieve machine-like perfection, but to restore balance and coherence to the canvas.

Human Traces

Subtle irregularities and small gaps remain visible. They are marks of presence - quiet evidence that this artwork was made, not produced.

Materials & Finish

Double-sealed with a non-toxic protective layer, framed in wood, and finished with anti-reflective glass. Prepared for long-term interior display while preserving texture, depth, and character.

MADE BY HUMAN HANDS & SOUL

This artwork was created slowly, by human hands - without automation, shortcuts, or mechanical repetition. Every facet was placed in time, through focus, patience, and presence.

Throughout the process, pauses mattered as much as movement. Moments of hesitation, adjustment, and return became part of the work itself. Subtle irregularities, softened edges, and barely visible gaps are not imperfections to be corrected, but traces of a human journey.

What is made by human hands inevitably carries something deeply personal - the tension between intention and surrender, the discipline to continue, and the humility to let go. This is where Lunarti’s spirit aligns with the philosophy of wabi-sabi: a way of seeing beauty not in flawlessness, but in authenticity, incompleteness, and presence.

The artwork holds more than resin and structure. It holds hours of stillness, strain in the eyes, patience in the body, and the emotional weight of releasing control. Each irregularity becomes a record of presence, a reminder that what is made by human hands will always reflect the person behind it.

Just as we are shaped by what we endure, this piece is shaped by its making. It stands in its authenticity - honoring the idea that we do not need to be perfect to be whole.
